Tuguegarao City gets DILG’s Seal of Good Local Governance. The SGLG is a progressive assessment system that gives local government units distinction for their remarkable performance across various governance areas such as financial administration, disaster preparedness, social protection, peace and order, business-friendliness and competitiveness, environmental management, and tourism, culture, and the arts.

Tuguegarao City deemed ‘Most Business-Friendly LGU’ National Finalist anew. Showing consistency in business-friendliness, under the present administration, Tuguegarao City has again been included by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) in the finalists’ roster of Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit (LGU) Award under the City Level 3 Category.

Tuguegarao City was awarded the 2017 MOST OUTSTANDING CITY PEACE AND ORDER COUNCIL (CPOC) of Region 02 (City Category) for its exemplary performance in the maintenance of peace and order and public safety in the community.

Tuguegarao City was awarded the best in LGU Empowerment (G2G) Award in the Digital Governance Awards 2020. The DGA Awards 2020 is a nationwide search for the best LGU’s innovative practice in Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

Tuguegarao City bags back-to-back award for National Corn Achievers Award. The National Quality Corn Achievers Award aims to recognize the achievements of top-performing LGUs and DA-RFOs in producing quality corn in support of the development of the corn industry.

LGU Tuguegarao City receives PCOO's Freedom of Information Award. Tuguegarao City is one of the LGUs to implement FOI programs in the country through the enactment of FOI Ordinance 08-2019, entitled: “Operationalizing Freedom of Information in the City Government of Tuguegarao”

City Mayor Jefferson P. Soriano was awarded Regional Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award from the Civil Service Commission. Presidential Lingkod Bayan (PLB) Award is conferred to an individual or group of individuals for exceptional or extraordinary contributions resulting from an idea or performance that had a nationwide impact on public interest, security, and patrimony. The regional awarding aims to give due recognition to local officials and functionaries from the province down to barangay levels who are exemplars in the field of local governance through the Excellence Award in Governance and Leadership (EAGLE).

Tuguegarao City was awarded Most Responsive Local Government Unit by the Department of Health Region 2 through the Cagayan Valley Center for Health Development for actively participating and supporting the 2019 Catch-up Immunization tagged as “Suyod Barangay, Sulong Bakuna” which aims to track and immunize all defaulters and miss target children.

Tuguegarao City was ranked Top 4 among all the Cities in the Philippines for its local collection efficiency based on the 2018 BLGF Collection Target for Local Revenues.

Tuguegarao City was recognized as 12th Most Competitive City in the Philippines for the year 2016 (Government Efficiency Pillar) under Component Cities Category.
